Tadepalli: Former Minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) has launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of being a “master of betrayal.” Nani’s comments came during a press conference at the party central office on Thursday, where he criticized Naidu’s political maneuvers and alleged attempts to undermine his rival, YS Jagan.

Nani claimed that since 2011, Naidu has been obsessed with eliminating Jagan from the political landscape. Despite Naidu’s efforts to weaken Jagan’s position by facilitating defections of YSRCP MLAs into the TDP, Nani noted that Jagan emerged stronger, securing 67 seats in the last election. He condemned Naidu for swearing in defectors as ministers without requiring them to resign from their original party, highlighting Naidu’s inconsistency and deceitfulness.

Nani challenged Naidu to demonstrate his commitment to fairness by fielding candidates from the same communities for upcoming Rajya Sabha seats. He also accused Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh government, and certain media outlets of orchestrating a drama involving a woman with multiple allegations to target IPS officers. Nani claimed that the woman, linked to a conspiracy, has cases in several North Indian states that will eventually come to light.

In a separate press conference in Nellore, Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy echoed criticisms of the TDP. Reddy accused Naidu of distracting from his failure to deliver on election promises through political defections. He also criticized TDP leaders for exploiting a free sand policy to loot resources, resulting in skyrocketing sand prices. Reddy warned that public protests could erupt if the issue is not addressed.
