Amaravati: Former Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has criticized the YSRCP for allegedly misleading the public about Andhra Pradesh’s debt, which he claims stands at Rs 14 lakh crore. Speaking at the TDP central office, Ramakrishnudu noted that debts raised through corporations were omitted from the recent white paper released by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu due to their exclusion from the report submitted to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) by the previous government.
Accompanied by MLC Ashok Babu and former minister Peethala Sujatha, Ramakrishnudu announced that privilege notices will soon be served to former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and organizations associated with him for allegedly insulting the legislature. He dared YSRCP leaders to an open debate on the state’s debt, either in the Assembly or publicly.
Ramakrishnudu accused Jagan of destroying the state’s economy and criticized him for lacking basic knowledge on financial matters. He blamed Jagan for the state’s significant debt and claimed that the YSRCP is misinterpreting facts revealed in TDP’s white papers to mislead the public.
Yanamala asserted that the TDP is committed to development and providing employment, whereas the YSRCP leaders are creating economic imbalances. He warned that if the YSRCP continues its current approach, its existence will be in jeopardy.
