Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Home Minister Anita convened a meeting today to discuss state-wide law and order, focusing on enhanced security measures for the upcoming Diwali celebrations. Home Minister Anita reported that staff across 185 fire stations have been placed on high alert to promptly respond to fire-related emergencies.
Citizens can now directly report illegal firecracker manufacturing or incidents by calling emergency numbers 100 or 101, ensuring quick intervention. The recent firecracker explosion in Edida village, Konaseema district, was highlighted as a reminder of potential Diwali risks, prompting Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to call for heightened precautions.
Addressing environmental concerns, Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for special measures to curb air pollution, which typically intensifies during the Diwali season. These initiatives aim to balance festive celebrations with public safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring Diwali remains safe and eco-friendly.
