Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the future of the state lies in tourism, stating that “there will be no religion in the future; tourism will be the only one.” On this note, CM Naidu launched a groundbreaking seaplane tourism initiative in the state, marking the first-ever use of sea planes for tourism in India. The seaplane service will operate from Punnamighat in Vijayawada to Srisailam, offering a unique travel experience for visitors.
At the launch event, Naidu was joined by Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu and various central and state government officials. The dignitaries, including Naidu, flew on the inaugural seaplane journey, which was celebrated as a significant milestone in the state’s tourism development.
Chandrababu Naidu spoke about the importance of embracing technological advancements, comparing the seaplane project to the earlier growth of the IT sector. He stressed that, like IT, seaplane services could bring global recognition and economic benefits to the state.
The CM also addressed ongoing efforts to improve governance in Andhra Pradesh, acknowledging the challenges faced under the previous administration. He reiterated the commitment to restoring the state’s reputation and progress, highlighting that the people’s support for the NDA coalition was essential in overcoming the state’s challenges.
