Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to create proposals for an iconic Deep Technology building in Amaravati, the state’s capital. Chairing a review meeting on the new IT policy, Naidu emphasized the growing importance of Deep technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the future of the current generation. Reflecting on his earlier success in developing Hyderabad’s HiTech City, Naidu highlighted the need for infrastructure to support emerging technologies in Amaravati.
The Chief Minister outlined ambitious plans for the state’s IT sector, including the establishment of five lakh workstations by 2029, with a goal of reaching 10 lakh by 2034. He also directed officials to create co-working spaces, allocate land for multi-storied office complexes, and provide a single-window system for necessary permissions.
Naidu announced an extension of seed funding up to Rs 25 lakh for SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, and women under the state’s Start-Up policy. He also instructed the creation of five innovation hubs linked to the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, which will serve as the core of an innovation ecosystem connecting 25 IITs across various regions.
The CM stressed skill development among rural youth and the creation of subsidies for IT developers, aiming to foster employment and growth in the state’s tech sector.
