Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, reviewed the flood situation in the Telugu State, on the 18th of July, Monday.
According to sources, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a video conference meeting with the concerned officials and directed to provide assistance for victims. During the meeting with collectors and officials of six flood affected districts, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the relief measures in the flood-affected areas.
The Andhra Pradesh CM said the flood water is receding gradually, asking the officials to step up the relief programs for the flood hit people. He asked the concerned collectors and district officials to provide Rs. 2,000, 25 kg of rice, 1 kg of jaggery, 1 kg of potatoes, 1 kg of onions and 1 kg of palm oil to the flood affected people, in the next 48 hours.
Furthermore, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also asked the officials to provide the necessary and quality services to the people. The State CM said, “We are doing relief programs like never before with this system and financial assistance of Rs.2,000 has never been done in the past; we are working tirelessly without a break.”
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked all the concerned district officials and secretariat officials, to ensure every flood affected region should be under supervision, with relief measures in place. He also asked the officials to restore power supply and sanitation works in the flood hit regions of the State.
