Meanwhile, human trials for recently made Covaxin, a potential vaccine for the Novel Coronavirus infection began.

Bharat Biotech private limited, a Hyderabad based pharma company along with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) started the trials.

Approximately 200 people from Andhra Pradesh volunteered themselves for the trials, which is expected to be done by the end of July.

The ICMR set a deadline of the 15th of August for the clinical human trials, as the Central Government plans to launch the vaccine on the Independence Day, the 15th of August.
