On the 27th of September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, will address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.

The 74th UNGA session started from the 23rd of September and will end on the 27th of September in New York.

Mr. Modi will deliver his speech at the session, following which, Imran Khan will also speak.  Mr. Modi is scheduled to speak at 9:00 A.M., (Eastern Time Zone,) which is 6:30 P.M., as per Indian Standard Time.

While Mr. Modi will speak about development and peace, Khan is expected to highlight the Kashmir issue.

After the revocation of Article 370, the tension between India and Pakistan heightened.

Imran Khan also tried to speak about the issue with Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.)  However, Trump refused to intervene in the matter until India agrees to sort out the issue with the help of a mediator.

India said the Kashmir issue with Pakistan is India’s internal matter, hence, the Country does not want any third party to be a mediator.

Mr. Modi is at the UN since a week to attend several meetings, events and the UNGA session.

Mr. Modi is expected to return to India on the 28th of September.

Stay tuned for further updates.
