Due to the CBI probe on the founders Prannoy Roy, Radhika Roy and promoter firm RRPR Holding Pvt., Ltd., for allegedly covering up a share transaction NDTV will have a change in handlers.

When asked if NDTV is being sold to Ajay Singh, sources revealed, “Yes, the deal has been finalized and Ajay Singh will take control of NDTV along with editorial rights.”

On June 5th, the CBI conducted a full search of the residence of the Roys. NDTV termed the raid as, “blatant attack on the freedom of the press.”

In a statement, NDTV also reported that the FIR was based on a “shoddy complaint.” The statement also revealed that the FIR was filed by a “disgruntled” former NDTV consultant.

But a SpiceJet official said these claims were “false and baseless.” NDTV officials have not responded to any messages or emails.
