After winning a silver medal at the World Championship, Olympian Neeraj Chopra would now be seen in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
On the 24th of July, Mr. Neeraj Chopra confirmed that he would be participating in Men’s Javelin Throw event at the Commonwealth Games, scheduled in Birmingham, the United Kingdom.
Mr. Neeraj Chopra said, he would give his best in the upcoming Commonwealth Games after becoming the second Indian and first male track and field athlete to win a medal in the World Athletics Championships. It is to be noted, that at the World Athletics Championship, Olympian Neeraj Chopra secured India’s first ever Silver medal in the track field, with his 88.13m throw.
When asked about the training and preparations for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Mr. Neeraj Chopra said, “There isn’t much time left to train more for the Commonwealth Games, but I’ll try to maintain the pace and give my best.”
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Games are scheduled to begin on the 28th of July and would conclude on the 8th of August. Moreover, the Men’s Javelin Throw event, in which athlete Neeraj Chopra is participating is on the 5th of August.
