The BRS legal cell has approached Banjara Hills police seeking action over an alleged AI-morphed video targeting party leaders K Chandrashekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao and J Santosh Kumar.
BRS legal cell State panelist Gautam Prasad Nimburi, along with other members, lodged the complaint. He alleged that the X account @raretelangana posted the video on October 1.
According to the complaint, the video used scenes from a Telugu film with fabricated dialogues and synthetic voices. It allegedly showed prominent film actors as endorsing serious allegations against Chandrashekhar Rao and his family.
The complainants sought an FIR under Section 173 of the BNSS, 2023, along with a detailed cyber-forensic probe. They also asked police to identify those behind the video and the operators of the X account.
They further sought action against those responsible and the immediate removal of the video to stop its circulation.
