BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) has challenged Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to order a judicial probe into the assets of their families.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, KTR said both sides should submit their asset details for an inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court or High Court judge. He said he was ready to face punishment if any wrongdoing was proved.
KTR also questioned Revanth Reddy over allegations that his brothers had accumulated Rs 1,000 crore. He said the Chief Minister should approach the Supreme Court if he wanted such an inquiry.
KTR said details of his business and assets were already included in his election affidavits. He also said his hotel business began in 2006 with money he earned during his six years in the US.
He further criticised the Congress government over issues involving farmers, weavers, youth and welfare promises. KTR alleged that farmers were facing problems with power supply, Rythu Bandhu payments and urea availability.
He also questioned the government over problems faced by weavers and handloom workers in Sircilla.
