Subhash Barala, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana, lost the Tohana Assembly seat in the Haryana Assembly elections.
Subhash Barala is the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of the BJP from the Tohana Assembly constituency.
Subhash Barala lost against Devender Singh Babli, the MLA candidate of the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP.)
Devender Singh Babil won 84,784 votes to become the MLA of the Tohana Assembly constituency.
Initially, there were reports after losing the Haryana Assembly elections, Subhash Barala offered his resignation. According to sources, Barala was all set to resign after the early trends predicted the BJP was likely to fail in securing the target seats in Haryana. However, Subhash Barala denied the rumours and said he has no plans of resigning as the President as of now.
According to early trends, the BJP is expected to win 40 Assembly seats out of the 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections. The Party is struggling to mark the majority of 46 Assembly seats in total.
In order to discuss the performance of the BJP in Haryana, Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, summoned M.L. Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, to Delhi.
As of now, approximately 7 BJP MLA candidates are trailing in the Haryana Assembly elections.
However, an official announcement about the results of the Haryana Assembly elections would soon be made.
