The MCD elections have been announced and it’s a clear win for the Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP is leading in all the three North Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and East Delhi Municipal Corporation. The win for BJP made way for a lot of hatred from the Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal. The AAP leader is placing the blame on the Electronic Voting Machines and has gone as far as to conduct a nationwide movement against these defective EVMs.

The BJP is soaring high in the elections leaving AAP and Congress fighting for second place. The voting took place for 270 wards out of 272 wards of the three Municipal Corporation, postponing the two due to death of two candidates. In the North, BJP has acquired 67 seats, in the South 66 seats and in the east 49 seats. Congress hoped for a revival of power in Delhi but their quest bitterly failed to push them lower than AAP in the election votes. The Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken has resigned following the tragic loss of his party.

BJP’s win should be a reason for the party to celebrate but the party has announced that they will not be celebrating the huge victory in honor of the CRPF jawans. On Monday, 25 jawans were killed in Chhattisgarh’s South Sukma region. The BJP also put up a poster outside their headquarters that read a dedication to the jawans who lost their lives in an attack worse than anything seen in the last seven years in the state.
