Hyderabad migrant workers staged protest at Gachibowli, demanding to be sent back to tehir respective villages.

All the workers who are stranded in Hyderabad, Telangana due to the Novel Coronavirus staged dharna, violating social distancing norms at the construction site in Gonapally area.

Despite the approval of the Shramik Express, a special train from migrant workers across India, it is not possible to send all the workers at once.

The Shramik Express could carry only 1,200 workers at a time, making it difficult for the state governments to select them.

The migrants broke glasses at the site and are demanding to be sent back home.

However, the police officials and Telangana Government authorities reached the spot and controlled the situation.

They even held talks with the leader of the migrants and assured them to send back home.

Meanwhile, Telangana recorded a total of 1,163 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 with 30 fatalities till date.
