Hyderabad has been enjoying cloudy skies and cool breezes as a cyclone affects weather conditions along the Andhra Pradesh coast. While the city has seen mild weather, several parts of Telangana are preparing for heavier rain.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in eastern Telangana as Cyclone Arnab influences the region between October 27 and 29.
The districts likely to receive intense rain and gusty winds include Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam and Mahabubabad. Warangal, Peddapalli, Mancherial and Karimnagar may receive moderate rain, with heavy showers in some areas.
Hyderabad and nearby western districts, including Rangareddy, Sangareddy and Vikarabad, are expected to remain mostly dry, with light showers possible in isolated areas.
The city’s night temperatures have stayed around 19°C to 20°C, while daytime temperatures have remained between 31°C and 32°C. Patancheru recorded a minimum of 19.2°C, while Medak recorded 18.8°C.
Weather conditions may vary across the state as the cyclone system moves past the coast.
