A day after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) allowed the movement of the migrant labourers back to their native villages, hundreds of labourers walked to Andhra Pradesh.
Many labourers who were stranded in Telangana walked , took two wheelers or cycles to their native villages from Telangana on the 2nd of May.
However, the movement prevailed with massive tension at the Telangana-Andhra Pradesh border check post. Natives of Andhra Pradesh moved to Telangana for work, and were on their way back home when they were stopped at the border checkpost.
The migrants are stranded at Vadapalli check post as the Andhra Pradesh police did not allow the workers to cross.
The Andhra Pradesh police deployed at the border asked for permits, following which they would allow them to cross the borders to go back to their homes.
Soon, all the migrants started protesting against the Andhra Pradesh Police for not letting them enter.
The agitation is still underway at the Vadapalli check post.
Stay tuned for further updates.
