Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) criticised the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, for approving the sale of liquor amid the lockdown.
As per the guidelines and relaxations for the Green Zone areas, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government approved the sale of alcohol with a 25 % rise in prices.
Mr. Naidu took to his Twitter handle and said, “Shocked to see today’s scenes at #LiquorShops in Andhra Pradesh. Common sense says that people will throng in large numbers, but there is no contingency plan from @ysjagan nor is there a care for social distance. This comes amidst the steep rise in #Covid19 cases in A.P.”
