In November, the South Central Railways (SCR) announced special trains between Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari. The decision to run the additional trains was taken to clear the festival rush.
According to sources, the additional trains would run for three trips in November. Train No. 05906 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari special would leave Dibrugarh on the 1st, the 8th and the 15th of November (Tuesdays) at 19:25 hrs to arrive in Visakhapatnam on Thursdays at 15:30 hrs and reach Kanyakumari at 22:00 hrs on Fridays.
In the return direction, train No. 05905 Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh special would leave Kanyakumari on the 6th, the 13th and the 20th of November (Sundays) at 17:20 hrs to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 23:45 hrs on Tuesdays and reach Dibrugarh at 20:50hrs on Wednesdays.
Stoppages of the special Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari trains would be Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Duvvada over East Coast Railway jurisdiction.
