Kazipet: During the BP Mandal Jayanti event in Kazipet, Hanumakonda district, MLC Theenmar Mallanna made a strong demand for the implementation of 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BC) children in Telangana. Speaking at the “Samara Shankharavam” organized by the BC Intellectuals Forum on Sunday, Mallanna warned that failure to implement this reservation would lead to significant unrest. He emphasized that not a single person would be able to move if the reservation is not enacted, stressing that Rahul Gandhi’s promise must be fulfilled.
Mallanna, who credits his political success to the support of the BC community, stated that a BC government will soon come to power in Telangana. He criticized the allocation of Rs. 50 crore to what he described as “beggar-like caste groups” and questioned why Rs. 9,000 crores had not been allocated to BCs in the state budget. He urged the organizers to establish a war room in Warangal and declared his readiness to petition Chief Minister KCR if necessary.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Legislative Council Vice President Banda Prakash, MLC Madhusudanachari, former MLA Dasyam Vinayabhaskar, and retired IAS officer Chiranjeevulu.
