A delegation of BRS MLAs and former legislators will attend the Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai on October 11, organised by the Emirates Telangana Cultural Association (ETCA).
The event will be held at Shabab Al Ahli Sports Club from 3 pm to 10 pm. The delegation will be led by former minister and Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy.
The group also includes Korutla MLA Dr K Sanjay and former MLAs Bajireddy Goverdhan, A Jeevan Reddy, Bigala Ganesh Gupta, Surender and Shakeel Ahmed.
The leaders will attend the event following an invitation from ETCA and directions from BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
The organisers said the celebrations will showcase Telangana’s culture and traditions. They will also highlight Bathukamma as a symbol of Telangana’s cultural traditions and women’s self-respect.
ETCA representatives had invited KT Rama Rao during a meeting with him last month. Following the invitation, he suggested that BRS legislators and former legislators attend the celebrations.
