Hyderabad: Expectations were high on the debut film of Akhil Akkineni but the poor show disappointed the fans of star kid. Director of the movie “Akhil”, VV Vinayak shouldered the responsibility for the failure of the drama. One of the noted filmmakers in the Tollywood, VV Vinayak directed the “Akhil” but the picture was a dud at the box office and also failed to impress the audience.
At an event, while speaking to the media, VV Vinayak apologized for the “Akhil”. He said that he tried to do something new for the young lad, Akhil and believed that it would engage the people but the expectations of the audience were too high that he failed. He added that it was not his kind of film and it disappointed the fans. VV Vinayak also stated that it is the biggest mistake in his career.
The maverick filmmaker concluded saying that he would rectify his mistake in his upcoming film with Chiranjeevi. The director managed to rope in Megastar Chiranjeevi in his forthcoming project, touted as Chiru’s 151.
