Rajampet: During a recent Prajagalam Sabha in Rajampet, concerns were raised by Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan regarding the exploitation and mismanagement of resources in Rayalaseema. Kalyan highlighted the control exerted by individuals like Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Mithun Reddy over the region’s wealth, leading to issues like migration for employment and a concentration of wealth in the hands of a few.
Kalyan expressed worry over the misuse of power by these individuals, alleging involvement in activities like running a liquor mafia and inciting violence. He emphasized the need to hold such leaders accountable and ensure the safety of ordinary citizens who dare to question them.
The meeting saw the participation of prominent leaders including Telugu Desam Party National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, and Rajampet BJP MP candidate S. Bala Subrahmanyam. Kalyan criticized the failure to release water from the Annamayya Dam despite warnings of heavy rains, attributing it to the exploitation of resources by YSP leaders, resulting in loss of lives and property.
