Hyderabad: Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that 120 Gurukula school buildings will be constructed across 30 areas this year, with a budget of Rs. 5,000 crores. The Deputy CM urged officials to expedite the selection of locations and finalize designs for the integrated Gurukula communities in various constituencies.

During a review meeting with top officials from the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Gurukuls departments at the Secretariat, Deputy CM Bhatti instructed that 15 to 25 acres of land be secured in rural areas and 10 to 15 acres in towns for establishing these educational institutions. He also directed the education department to submit a report by the 29th of this month, detailing the necessary facilities for these schools.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who participated in the review, requested the immediate release of the second installment of overseas scholarship funds for students studying abroad. Deputy CM Bhatti responded positively, instructing officials to prioritize the release of pending scholarship dues, emphasizing the importance of timely disbursement.
