Amaravati: The coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has successfully completed over 100 days in power, prioritizing public interest and development. In a statement on Saturday, Pawan Kalyan, Minister of Forests, Panchayat Raj, and Rural Development, emphasized that the state government is working for the welfare of the people with no favoritism involved, especially in recent transfers within the Panchayat Raj Department.

Pawan Kalyan highlighted that the transfers were carried out with complete transparency, ensuring there was no room for bribery or financial irregularities. “We made sure that talent, efficiency, and adherence to regulations were the sole criteria for these transfers. Recommendations from public representatives and ministers were only considered if they aligned with the established parameters,” he stated. He added that key positions such as Dwama PD, APD, and ZP CEO posts were assigned exclusively to Panchayat Raj and Rural Development officers.

The Minister also revealed that officers who had held district-level positions for over two decades without rotation were reassigned to appropriate posts, ensuring no key roles were given to individuals with pending allegations.

Central Government’s Financial Support

Minister Kalyan further mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government is ready to provide significant financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh. Within the first 100 days of governance, the state has already received Rs. 4,500 crores in employment guarantee funds from the Centre, along with Rs. 1,987 crores from the 15th Finance Commission.

He also pointed out that the Jal Jeevan Mission aims to provide safe tap water to over 95 lakh households by 2027. Additionally, the Centre has approved Rs. 215.8 crores under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. “We have appointed competent officers to implement these plans, and the suggestions made by CM Chandrababu during departmental reviews and the District Collectors’ Conference are being acted upon to revive the Panchayats,” Kalyan concluded.
