Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced an ambitious target of achieving a 15% growth rate in Andhra Pradesh through strategic planning and industrial support, during a Task Force meeting with business leaders on Monday. Recalling the state’s previous growth rate of 13.5% under the TDP government, Naidu expressed confidence in surpassing this figure with renewed focus on wealth creation and equitable distribution to uplift the poor.

At the meeting, held to advance the “Vision 2047” agenda, Naidu engaged with representatives from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and industrial leaders, including Tata Sons Executive Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, who serves as Task Force co-chair. He invited suggestions from all present to shape policies across key sectors, encouraging innovations that leverage advanced technology and local resources.

“We have all the necessary infrastructure—natural resources, human capital, and modern highways and airports,” Naidu stated. “The state should be a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.” Highlighting a shift from the “Ease of Doing Business” to the “Speed of Doing Business,” he shared plans to promote entrepreneurship, envisioning “one entrepreneur in every family.”

Notable industry leaders, including GMR Group’s GM Rao, L&T’s SN Subrahmanyan, and Reddy Labs’ Sateesh Reddy, attended the meeting, contributing ideas to achieve Andhra Pradesh’s economic and industrial goals.
