In a major boost to healthcare facilities for government employees, the Andhra Pradesh Government announced to provide Employees Health Care (ESH) Scheme to the village and ward secretariat employees.

On the 31st of October, Monday, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government took the decision in this regard, after the office of the Commissioner of Village and Ward Secretariats has written a letter to Mr. Vinay Chand, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aarogyasri Trust.

Recently, the Village and Ward Secretariat officials requested that the process of issuing EHS health cards to the employees of Gram and Ward Secretariats be completed quickly.

It is known that Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy created and filled a record 1.34 lakh government jobs at a time within four months of taking charge as Chief Minister.  As per the rules, the government has recently finalized the probation for eligible secretariat employees.  With this, over 1 lakh employees would be brought under EHS at the same time, under the Arogyasri Trust.
