The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government in Andhra Pradesh is all set to bring the online movie ticket facilities under the ruling party leadership.
Concerning this, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government made all the necessary arrangements including a tender for the sale of tickets online at a lower cost than private companies. As of now, the online ticket company named Just Ticket has been ranked as L-1 in the tenders list.
Furthermore, under the State Government, the online tickets sold under the leadership of the YSRCP Government would not have the burden of online charges on the audience. The government’s decision to control ticket prices would be a major drawback for the other private companies, selling movie tickets in the Telugu state. While the new initiative of the State Government is a relief to the people of Andhra Pradesh, it is a major profit and loss concern for the production houses and entertainment industry.
The new launch of online ticket facilities under the YSRCP Government would also put an end to the black market and corruption in the movie tickets business, ensuring fair pricing for the middle class and poor people of the State.
It is to be noted, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued a Government Order (GO) announcing a new movie ticket portal. The YSRCP Government passed the order to set up a State-run website for the online sale of cinema tickets in both single and multiplex theaters. The decision to enter the business of movie tickets was taken to ensure corruption-free ticket selling and tax evasion from private companies. The sudden issued order of the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government shocked the people of the Tollywood Industry and Cineplex and Multiplex businessmen. As per the new GO, the State Government would soon float a new online portal, selling movie tickets under the AP State Film, Television, and Theater Development Corporation.
