In Andhra Pradesh, the ambiguity continues over the conduct of the Secondart School Certificate (SSC) and Intermediate examinations 2021.

While several state board cancelled the 10th and 12th examinations, the Andhra Pradesh is still stubborn to conduct the exams in the State.

The Yuavajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government leaders and Education Department officials are ready to submit to the Chief Minister the possibility of the exams. The final decision would be taken after a review meeting.

On the other hand, speaking about the Supreme Court notice, the Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the CM who conducted the review with the education department officials today had not discussed the tenth and inter examinations issue.

The review is limited to making suggestions to the authorities on Nadu-Nedu works in Educational Department. Meanwhile, the minister said the Supreme Court notices over the examinations had not come to their notice and revealed that the right decision would be taken at the right time after receiving the notices from the court.

On the 17th of June, the Top Court issued notices to the state governments of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam and Tripura. These are the states which are yet to decide whether to conduct Intermediate exams. Besides these four states, the Apex Court issued notice to the Kerala Government also for not cancelling Intermediate first year exams.

The notice from the Supreme Court came after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and 18 State Boards cancelled class 12th examination 2021. The decision to cancel the examinations was taken considering the current situation due to the second wave of the Wuhan virus pandemic. The Central Government while cancelling the exams said, the decision was taken to ensure safety of lakhs of students who would appear for class 12th examinations.

While other states are yet to submit their response, the Andhra Pradesh Government is still unsure about cancelling the exams. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government feels that, since the Wuhan virus is decreasing, they could make arrangements and might conduct 12th and 10th class examinations.

According to sources, The A.P., Government was planning to hold Intermediate examinations from the 7th of July to the 25th of July, while the X th examinations from the 26th of July to the 2nd of August. As many as 4.5 lakh Xth class students and 5 lakh Intermediate students would take the examinations as per the schedule.
