Soha Ali Khan, daughter of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore, faced the brunt of a few socially suffocating scoundrels when she visited a Ganesh Pandal in Andheri, Mumbai. These people took to Facebook and Twitter, and stated that if Soha is a true Muslim she wouldn’t step into a Hindu Ganesh Pandal ever.

The negative comments ranged from asking her if she really is Muslim to telling her to die. Here are a few snippets of the stupidity that she had to go through:

But it is good to see that Soha didn’t let all these comments get to her. Instead she stood up for herself and put these low lives in their place.
Happy though we are to see a women standing up for what is right, we are equally disheartened to see that our country is still at its nascent stage when it comes to unity. People still try to spread hate vibes and point fingers at each other hiding behind their religion. Wonder when religion became a way to spread hatred than love. Well, all in all, we don’t know about the “true Muslim” part but she certainly is a true human being. You Go Girl!
