A policeman was killed and five others were wounded on Thursday in Bangladesh. The bomb blast took place during a mass prayer congregation on the occasion of Eid. According to police, a small bomb exploded at a school outside the prayer ground in the district of Kishoreganj, where nearly 2,00,000 people gathered. If reports are to be believed, there was also exchange of gunfire at the blast site.
On Wednesday, the terror group Islamic State issued a video warning the government of Bangladesh of more attacks in the country and across the world until Shariah law is established worldwide. The IS also added that the last week’s Dhaka attack in a cafe is just a glimpse.
