Moscow airport evacuated after the fire: An airport in Russia’s capital city of Moscow witnessed after a small fire erupted in its premises which in turn led to the evacuation of over 3000 people from the airport on Thursday.

According to the reports, more than 50 flights were delayed from the Domodedovo International Airport.

The evacuation began as the airport was engulfed in a cloud of smoke, which resulted from a small fire in a warehouse of a subcontractor working at the site.

The fire, which erupted in the baggage sector and covered an area of about 15 sq.mt,, was later put out.

The exact cause of the fire was yet not known, but it is thought to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The Airport authorities are currently under taking the investigation.
