On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu announced he would provide financial assistance to the girl whose father slaughtered the entire family. The girls father then killed himself leaving her the only survivor of the family.

The Chief Minister decided to give the girl Rs. 20 lakhs as financial assistance. Ramsubba Reddy, a farmer killed himself by consuming poison after bludgeoning his wife and two daughters to death in their home in Anantapur district.

Reddy went missing after the triple murder and was later found by the police unconscious near TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Tadipatri town. Police rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Reddy killed his wife Sulochana (45,) and their daughters Pratyusha (20,) and Pratibha (18) while his eldest daughter Prasanna was in Tirupati studying.
Naidu stated he would take care of Prasanna as his daughter and that God had saved her.

Chandrababu Naidu attended a public meeting in Anantapur where the audience were left in tears after Prasanna narrated her sad story.

She was quoted saying, “My father killed my mother and two sisters in an inhuman manner before consuming poison and committing suicide. I thought of ending my life too. But with the encouragement of Mr. Naidu and my relatives, I will live to realise the dream of my mother that I study a management course in an IIM and become a successful woman.”

Naidu encouraged the girl by saying, “We will keep a government job reserved for you. Now, we will deposit Rs. 20 lakh in your name for a secure future. Don’t get disheartened. I will take full care of you as a father.”

He further added, “The government will help his daughter in all possible way. This incident shows how intolerance levels are going up among people in the society.”
