On Wednesday, Kakatiya University in Telangana raised alarms after a number of students barged into the Vice Chancellor’s office and wrecked the furniture.

Reports have revealed that the students have alleged due to the negligence of the college administration a number students got lesser marks in the exams.

Media reported the police were outnumbered by the students who went on rampage vandalizing the college by breaking doors and damaging the furniture. The rampage resulted in a number of students and police personnel getting injured.

ABVP leader Laxman, said, “The degree results sheet is the best example to showcase the negligence of the University. Some of the students were given 105 marks out of a 100 in a subject. Some students who appeared for the examination were marked as absent in the results. Such negligence by the officials proves costly for a student’s future. The University must revalue the scripts. An enquiry must be carried out and the officials responsible for this negligence must be punished.”

The students refused to pull back and continued the protest. To avoid any further damage or injuries the Vice Chancellor R. Sayanna spoke to the students and assured them that their demands would be met.

He said, “An expert committee will be set up to inquire into the issue. We are solving the issues one by one. Some technical issues have led to these errors. The examination branch officials who are responsible for the errors will be punished.”

The Vice Chancellor requested the students to stop the protest and assured them that an enquiry would be conducted and all the details would be given to them.
