A Restaurant in Kerala installs Public fridge to feed the poor

Kochi: A restaurant owner has come out with a unique idea to fill the stomach of poor. Minu Pauline, a popular tea stall and restaurant owner of Pappadavada’, is the brain behind the initiative.
Minu, has installed a ‘public refrigerator’ outside its premises in Kaloor where people can come and drop leftover fresh food for the poor. The food can be picked up by the homeless for free.

This initiative, which was launched on March 23, has been named “Nanma Maram”.
Minu Pauline said “my intention is to save food as most people seem to waste a lot of food. With this venture, people can bring in edible leftovers to feed the hungry poor.”
