The NGT has also ordered the Delhi Government to seize all the stocks of plastic for the next week.

The bench also directed the AAP ruling government and Delhi Pollution Control Committee to file an affidavit. The document must be made by a senior most officer and should have detailed information on the implementations that will be made to implement the ban.

The NGT also banned disposable plastic in Delhi and implemented the ban from 1st January 2017.

The NGT demanded answers from the Delhi government on 31st July. Even after the ban there was a rampant use of plastics in the city.

The bench went on to urge the government to take strict action and implement the ban and submit a status report on the progress.
