Rahul Gandhi Is A Black Belt in Aikido

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has been under the media’s eye and now he has given a bigger reason to talk about him. At an annual meet of the Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce, Rahul Gandhi revealed he is a Black Belt in Aikido.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art concentrating on fending off an attacker without causing injuries to the opponent.

Gandhi revealed his accomplishment when boxer Vijendra Singh asked him why politicians were not active in sports.

In an exclusive interview, a news channel spoke to Sensei Paritos Kar, who is Rahul’s Aikido coach.

Paritos Kar said, he and Rahul have been training together since 2009 on a regular basis.

In 2013, an Aikido Japanese master visited India and met Rahul Gandhi. The politician had a test with the master and aced it. After which, he was awarded his Black Belt in Aikido.

Rahul’s Sensei also revealed the politician was at the Aikido headquarters in Japan for 10 days where he trained to better his skills. Gandhi has also learned Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and sword fighting.

Kar praised Rahul’s dedication to his fitness routine and added the politician is organized and generous while training.
