We have herd of earrings, even ear worms. But then, once in a while, comes along a bizarre news that makes you say “What!” And that was our reaction when we heard about U.S. citizen, Ashley Glawe, who took the play date with her pet python, Bart, to another level.
Ms. Gawke has a piercing in her ear lobe through which the said snake found a way to wriggle in. But undermining the size of its girth, the poor pet got stuck in the hole. Ashley has to be rushed to the emergency room but not before she took some choice selfies to post on social media.
The picture on the site already has more than 30,000 shares and reads, “CURRENT SITUATION… I was holding my #SNAKE and his #DUMB ASS saw a hole, which just so happened to be my fuckin #EARLOBE, and thought that it would be a bright idea to #ATTEMPT to make it through… It all happened SO fast that before I even knew what was going on it was already too late… Now, #BelieveItOrNot I’m sitting here in the #EmergencyRoom with #BART #STUCK in my fucking #EAR #JustMyFuckinLuck #OhShit #SnakeStuckInEar #SnakeStuckInEarlobe #GaugedEars #SnakesLikeGaugedEars.”
Rest assured, the ball python was successfully removed from the lobe using lubricants and a happy and healthy Gawke and Bart are now back home. Moral of the story, keep your pets close but your common sense closer!
