Insensitive, Horrific, Idiotic, Stupid, Madness. These are the words that come to mind after watching this video. We all know the cheap tricks and plays made by the live reporters on TV to get the viewers attention. But, this is altogether a different level when an oblivious Brazilian news reporter attempted to interview a dead man on live television. This a blot on journalism.
Going into the details, Three men had robbed a grocery store and fled to the outskirts of Aracaju in the state of Sergipe, Brazil shoot out happened and all robbers were gunned down. The TV Atalaia journalist had arrived at the scene later tried to interview the three suspects were lying face down on the floor following a police chase.
As soon as he arrived on the spot, he immediately began interviewing the police before turning his attention to the suspects for the ‘exclusive’.
Two of the alleged robbers, who were both wearing red, were lying face down in the street with their hands cuffed behind their backs. He tried to interview the third person and started asking questions, but got no reply. Later he learned that guy was dead and covered his embarrassment by addressing the camera, the embarrassed reporter said: ‘Amazingly, I was going to interview a guy who’s already dead.’
