An Indian origin couple was shot dead by their daughter’s ex boyfriend in their home in the U.S. Naren Prabhu, a Silicon Valley tech executive was shot dead by Mirza Tatlic, 24. Naren’s wife was also shot by the suspect in their home in San Jose, the news was reported by CBS, San Fransico.
Naren Prabhu’s daughter lives in another state and was not present when the shooting took place. Police Chief of San Jose, Eddie Garcia said, “The suspect had been in a dating relationship with the victim’s adult daughter who was not home.”
“The relationship ended last year. The suspect had a history of domestic violence and there was an active criminal restraining order,” he also reported.
Prabhu’s 20 year old son reported the incident to the police.
The Police said, “When officers arrived at the home on Laura Valle Lane they saw an adult man deceased in the front doorway suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers learned from the adult son that his mother and 13 year old brother along with the suspect were still inside the house.”
A SWAT team was called in for a standoff against the victim who let the 13 year old boy go but killed the mother.
“As officers were setting up contain and arrest teams, the suspect released the 13 year-old boy,” Garcia said.
Mirza Tatlic refused to surrender and resulted in the officials shooting the suspect.
