On Friday, addressing the people of Uttar Pradesh, CM Adityanath Yogi said that the government will not discriminate between religions. In an interactive program, the CM said that “Chhadam gamcchha odne waale jo karya karte hain sudhar jaayein, chhode nahin jaayenge (Those wearing fake scarf should mend their ways, no one will be spared).”
The CM also speaking about bias said, “na teeka ka bhed hoga, na topi ka bhed hoga’ (There will be no discrimination on the basis of teeka and skull cap).” The CM speaking about Hindutva Yuva Vahini’s involvement in violence, a group formed by him, issued a strict warning and said ‘fake scarves should mend their ways or else will be punished.’ He said, “Those who are trying to defame BJP or cultural organization (in an apparent hint towards the Hindu Yuva Vahini) are being identified.”
Yogi, speaking about the Jungle Raj in UP said, “Law and order is our priority. Minor incidents are occurring at some places but I am sure that by the time I present the report card of my government’s 100 days, such incidents will stop completely. Every sister, daughter and trader of Uttar Pradesh will feel safe in the State.”
Adityanath also spoke about the poor ranking of UP cities in the clean city rankings. He blasted the Akhilesh Yadav’s SP government, by saying “usually when a new CM takes charge, he tries to overhaul the administration. We tried to work with the same officers. We started shuffling the officers only after a month. We changed only those who were not ready to change with the changed system or not comfortable with the new system.”
Aditynath also stressed on the importance of farmers in the State. He said the government is now aiming at doubling the income of farmers by 2022. He quoted PM Narendra Modi and said the UP government’s objective is to provide public welfare and not populism.
