After the Election Commission announced the voting for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats, the TRS candidates filed their nomination papers. J. Santosh Kumar, B. Prakash Mudiraj and B. Lingaiah Yadav filed the papers at the State Legislature yesterday.
The TRS members filed their nomination with a group celebrating the process. The nominated candidates visited the Martyrs’ Memorial to pay their tributes before filing the papers.
The signatories who proposed these nominations were K. T. Rama Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, T. Harish Rao, Etela Rajender and G. Jagadish Reddy. The polling for the Rajya Sabha seats are scheduled for the 23rd of March.
Monday was the last day for all the parties to file their candidates nominations. Congress candidate Balaram Naik filed his nominations on Monday.
