Approximately 11,493 Ganesh idols are set to be immersed on the 12th of September, at 32 locations in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The procession started at 8:00 A.M., at almost all the locations and will end at Tank Bund.
The procession to immerse the 61 feet high Khairatabad Ganesh idol began at 7.30 A.M.
The Khairatabad procession completed its last puja around 6:30 A.M. According to the Utsav Samithi Organisation, till now, approximately 35 lakh devotees took the blessings of Ganesh by visiting the pandal. The darshan started at 3:00 A.M., on the 12th of September.
The Khairatabad Ganesh will be immersed before 1:00 P.M. The procession will cross Telephone Bhavan, Secretariat, NTR Marg and will reach Tank Bund at the end.
On the other hand, the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi will also start its procession. The Balapur Ganesh is famous for its laddoo, which will be auctioned on the 12th of September. The Samithi will begin the laddu auction at 9:30 A.M., following which, the Balapur Ganesh procession will start towards Tank Bund.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) made elaborate arrangements for the Ganesh immersion.
The State Government organised tight security and deployed officials across Hyderabad to avoid any kind of chaos during the immersion.
