On the 4th of May, Andhra Pradesh reported 67 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection in the State.
With the new cases, the total number tallied to 1,650 with 36 fatalities and 4524 recoveries till the 4th of May.
The cases are increasing rapidly in the State, raising concerns for the Andhra Pradesh Government. The State Government took all the necessary measures to control the spread of the virus, announced strict rules during the lockdown in all the Red Zones of the districts, whereas a relaxation was announced in a few Green Zones.
There are 11 Red Zones and 2 Green Zones in the State for the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.
The highest number of cases were reported in Kurnool, followed by Guntur, Krishna and Chittoor.
