The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) High Court (HC,) on the 5th of May, served notices to Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
YSRCP MLAs Madhusudhan Reddy, R.K. Roja, Venkata Gowda, Sanjeevaiah and Vidudala Rajini received notices for violating the lockdown norms in the State.
The issued notices came after the A.P., Court heard the petition filed against these MLAs for violating the lockdown guidelines imposed in the State.
Mr. Kishore, a lawyer of the Andhra Pradesh HC, filed the petition against the MLAs and seeking notices to the MLAs and conduct of COVID-19 tests for them.
According to Mr. Kishore the MLAs conducted meetings and rallies during the lockdown.
The State High Court issued notices to these MLAs and asked them to reply to the allegations charged against them.
The next hearing of the case is yet to be announced.
