In the past few days, Telangana is reporting a massive rise in the cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
From the past 24 hours, the State reported a total of 2,478 new COVID-19 infections and 10 fatalities.
While the new cases are over 2,400 taking the total active cases to 32,994 with 10 fatalities the total death cases reached 856.
According to the released media bulletin by the Health Department of Telangana, of the new 2,478 cases, 37 are from Adilabad, 86 from Bhadradri and 267 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.)
Other districts which reported new cases of the Novel Coronavirus are: 79 from Jagtial, 51 from Jangaon, 24 from Bhupalapally, 36 from Gadwal, 85 from Kamareddy, 129 from Karimnagar, 128 from Khammam, 16 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 48 from Mahabubnagar, 50 from Mahabubabad, 69 from Mancherial, 42 from Medak, 190 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 44 Mulugu, 48 from Nagarkurnool, 135 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 44 from Nirmal, 85 from Nizamabad, 68 from Peddapalli, 45 from Siricilla, 171 from Rangareddy, 67 from Sangareddy, 82 each from Siddipet, 87 from Suryapet, 17 from Vikarabad, 38 from Wanaparthy, 42 from Warangal Rural, 95 from Warangal Urban and 57 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
With these updates, there are 1,35,884 positive cases, 32,994 active cases and 866 deceased.
A total of 2,011 persons have recovered on the 3rd of September.
With new recoveries, total recovered cases of COVID-19 stand at 1,02,024 with a recovery rate of 75 % from the previous 74.90 %.
Meanwhile, between Tuesday (the 2nd of September) and Wednesday (the 3rd of September) the health authorities conducted 62,543 Coronavirus tests.
This is the 9th consecutive day the Telangana Health Department conducted between 30,000 and 60,000 tests.
With this, the State tested nearly 16,05,521 COVID-19 tests in the State.
