On the 6th of October, Andhra Pradesh reported 5,759 new Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
This is the 7th consecutive days when Andhra Pradesh reported below 7,000 cases. In the past month, the State reported minumum 10,000 single day spike for the Novel Coronavirus cases, which reduced to 8,000 then to 7,000 and now to 5,000-6,000.
In the past 24 hours, the State reported a total of 5,759 cases, taking the total to 7,29,307.
With these updates, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 7,29,307 positive cases, of which 50,776 are active cases, 6,72,479 recovered/discharged and 6,052 deceased.

Of the total new 5,795 cases, highest were recorded from Chittoor (970,) followed by East Godavari (801,) West Godavari (696) and Prakasam (580.)
Meanwhile number of recoveries reported in the past 24 hours stood at 6,046.
In addition, the Andhra Pradesh Health Department conducted as many as 65,889 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
With this, so far the State conducted as many as 63,16,140 tests.
In addition, the recovery rate of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 is more than 85%.
