The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is continuing a special sanitation drive in the area.
The intense sanitation started in nearly 235 rain affected colonies and areas of the GHMC limits.
In regard to the sanitation drive, the GHMC released Rs. 5.51 crores till date.
In addition, the GHMC is set to spend an additional Rs. 5 crores to Rs. 6 crores, in the next 10 days.
To supervise the drive a Special Sanitation Officer (SSO) has been deployed for each circle to monitor the activities for clearance of garbage in the particular locality.
The drive was launched after following the instructions of K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana.
Mr. Rama Rao directed the officials to ensure that normalcy was restored in the rain affected areas.
The special sanitation drive is underway in the GHMC limits.
