The Telangana Police, on the 31st of October, conducted raids at the residences of several leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)
As per sources, TRS leaders whose houses were raided were Bandi Srilekha Raju, the Chairman of Dubakka Market Committee, Ravinder Reddy, the Chairman of the Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC,) Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) Pushpalatha Kishan Reddy, President of Arya Vysya Samaj president Chintha Raju, Siddipet Municipal Chairman Raja Narsu, TRS leader Mareddy Ravinder Reddy, Councillor Maccha Venugopal Reddy, Siddipet TRS Party President Kondam Sampath Reddy.
The raids came ahead of the Dubbaka by polls scheduled on the 3rd of November.
According to sources, the police received information about huge money flow for the upcoming Dubbaka by polls, following which the police raided the leaders.
The raids were simultaneously conducted at eight places.
However, the police did not find cash in the raids and are carrying out the inspections at the residences of TRS leaders and their relatives.
Last week, the raids were conducted at the residence of BJP leader Raghunandan Rao and family.
During the raid at Raghunandan Rao, the police seized Rs. 18.65 lakh cash.
Meanwhile, the Central Election Commission (CEC) appointed Indian Public Service (IPS) officer Saroj Kumar Thakur, as police observer for the Dubakka by elections.
