The Bajrang Dal in Telangana conducted a Statewide protest in Telangana against cow slaughter. The Telangana Bajrang Dal unit demanded proper laws against cow slaughtering and cattle/beef smuggling in the State.
Similar to Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, Subhash Chander asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government also to implement the Telangana Prohibition of Cow Slaughter and Animal Preservation Act.
The Telangana State Bajrang Dal Convener Subhash Chander said, “Telangana Government is working under the hands of AIMIM (All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen.) The atrocities of (the) AIMIM leaders are increasing day by day. Cow slaughtering has turned into a big mafia under the hands of (the) TRS and (the) AIMIM leaders. (The) Telangana police are working hand in glove with these parties.”
In addition, it is to be noted, 20 out of 28 states in India had various laws regulating the act of slaughtering cows, prohibiting the slaughter or sale of cows.
Only Arunachal, Assam, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and West Bengal are the states where there are no restrictions on cow slaughter. However, the Bajrang Dal unit demanded a strict and proper law in Telangana, which gives strict punishment to offenders involved in cow slaughtering or beef smuggling.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is yet to respond to the protest and the demands of the Bajrang Dal Telangana unit.
